The Staff Development Waiver allows a district to “bank” minutes for each day that your staff is in professional development during the school year. It cannot be used before or after the students are in session though. This comes in handy if you have any unforeseen closures because you may not need to make up those days if you have enough minutes (including these waiver minutes 2100 minutes) to cover the missed days.
