Call the Meeting to Order
C. Lopez called a meeting of the Academic Excellence Committee of Youth Policy Institute Charter Schools (YPICS) to order on Monday Nov 26, 2018 at 6:05 PM.

Approve Minutes
Note: The job description needs to include the updates that were recommended from the last meeting.
S. Mendoza made a motion to approve minutes from the Academic Excellence Committee Meeting on 10-01-18 as amended. Academic Excellence Committee Meeting on 10-01-18.
C. Lopez seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
II. Academic Excellence
A.
Interim SBAC Fall 2018 Results
Committee Members reviewed, discussed, questioned the SBAC results from Spring 2018. Inquiry regarding the results and the alignment to the LCAP priorities were noted. Given the results do we need to change or add anything to our current plan? Staff reminded the committee that the middle schools are investigating potential new math programs for the upcoming school year. The Committee Members reminded staff that YPICS School Academic Action Plans are due for review and discussion at the next meeting. Specifically, the Commitment is asking for a mid-year update.
