This meeting of the Springfield Prep Charter School Academic Achievement Committee will be held via Zoom video conference on 4/22/2020 at 8 am. Meeting notice was posted on the school's website (www.springfieldprep.org) on 4/17/2020 at 5:20 PM.

Call the Meeting to Order

S. Balogun called a meeting of the Academic Achievement Committee of Springfield Prep to order on Wednesday Apr 22, 2020 at 8:05 AM.

Approve Prior Meeting Minutes

J. Pistorius made a motion to approve the minutes from Academic Achievement Committee Meeting on 02-11-20.
S. Balogun seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

II. Academic Achievement

A.

Impacts of COVID-19-related closure and transition to remote learning

Bill and Wendy reviewed the memo shared with the Committee, discussing the remote learning plan devised, the online and paper resources we have been using, and the data we will track to ensure student engagement with the learning materials. They also discussed the plans for English Language Learners and students with IEPs. The committee discussed the impact of the closure and remote learning plan on parents and families. They also discussed the measurement of student learning and growth, and the impacts on the upcoming school year’s schedule, learning plans, finance, and operations.

Note: the memo provided was drafted before the Governor’s announcement which closed schools for the remainder of the school year, so a revised memo will be presented to the Board at the 4/29/2020 Board Meeting.
