II. Review of Report Card Issued to One City Schools by the Department of Public Instruction 4:06 PM

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) produces report cards for every publicly funded school and district in Wisconsin. The report cards measure important pieces of data that shed light on how a school or district is doing and where it can improve. 

 

Tim Scottberg is the Associate Director of the Wisconsin Resource Center for Charter Schools (WRCCS), a statewide center housed within CESA 9 to strengthen the charter school system in the state and improve student learning.

Mr. Scottberg will join the board meeting to explain in detail and answer questions about the important information contained in One City's report card.

 

 
III. Financial Statements Review and Approval 4:26 PM
 

Board members will review and vote to approve the financial statements from October 2024.

Director of Finance Janel Vertz will provide a review of the financial statements from October 2024. 

 

Board members will be asked to vote to approve financial statements. 

 
IV. One City Schools Addition of High School 4:41 PM
  A. One City Schools High School/Establishment of Committees Vote Kaleem Caire 45 m
   

One City Schools CEO and Founder, Kaleem Caire will lead a discussion around the re-establishment of high school for the 2025-26 school year. Board members will be asked to vote to approve planning. 

 

The discussion will include plans to create two committees: Facilities and Athletics. Both are necessary to continue to move this work forward. 
 

 
V. Fundraising Update 5:26 PM
  A. One City Schools' Fundraising Update FYI T. Midthun, K. Caire, G. Wiseman 20 m
   

T. Midthun of McDonald Schaefer https://mcdonaldschaefer.com/ and lead team member for One City's Capital Campaign, will provide a brief update on progress toward the launch of the Capital Campaign to date. 

 

K. Caire and G. Wiseman will update the board on current fundraising plans and goals, and discuss the establishment of a Fundraising Committee of the board.
