II. Review of OEO Report and Response 4:09 PM
 

Cynthia L. Gonzalez, Director of the Office of Educational Opportunity (OEO) and two members of the OEO Advisory Board conducted site visits of One City Elementary School and One City Preparatory Academy during the months of January and February 2024. The Board will review the subsequent report of those visits as requested by Ms. Gonzalez.

Board members will be asked to review and approve One City's new auditing firm.

  B. Review of ACT 20 FYI Maria Dyslin 10 m
   

Executive Director of K-8, Maria Yturriaga Dyslin will share information on Act 20, a sweeping bipartisan reading bill aimed at improving statewide test scores. Act 20 states that "all Wisconsin schools are required to provide science-based early literacy instruction in both universal and intervention settings." Ms. Dyslin will discuss the impact Act 20 will have on literacy initiatives at One City Schools.

CTO Nikole Fees will share details of survey results regarding staff satisfaction with board members. 

VP of Family and Student Engagement, Marilyn Ruffin, will share details of enrollment numbers for the 2024-25 school year.
