The Board will vote to approve the draft minutes from the January 2023 regular meeting.

 
II. December 2022 Financial Statement Review and Approval 4:04 PM
 

The Board will review and vote to approve the financial statements from December 2022.

Treasurer Torrey Jaeckle and Alice Torti, One City CFO will review the financial statements from December 2022. Board members will be asked to vote to approve the financials.

 
III. Presentation from Lesley Redwine, LER Consultants and Advisors 4:15 PM
 

We will hear from Ms. Lesley Redwine https://www.lerconsultants.com/lesley on the topic of search for OCPA principal.

LER Consultants and Advisors, Inc. https://www.lerconsultants.com/ is a boutique consulting practice that supports public and charter schools, nonprofits and government agencies with executive support in the area of talent sourcing at all levels including C-Level and director, strategic planning, governance, compliance, and fund development. 

 

LER's CEO Ms. Lesley Redwine will go over the process for finding One City's secondary school principal.

 
IV. Presentation by Eric Dailey of The New Teacher Project 4:35 PM
 

Board members will hear from Eric Dailey, Consulting Partner with The New Teacher Project https://tntp.org/.  

 

One City Schools is committed to finding and nurturing the most outstanding teachers for our scholars. TNTP's mission and goals align perfectly with One City Schools.

The New Teacher Project's (TNTP) mission is to end the injustice of educational inequality by providing excellent teachers to the students who need them most and by advancing policies and practices that ensure effective teaching in every classroom. 

 

Mr. Dailey will present two proposals for the board to discuss. 

 
V. One City Schools K-8 Education Plan 5:00 PM
  A. One City K-8 Education Plan Discuss Kaleem Caire 30 m
   

CEO and Founder will take Board members through One City's new K-8 Education Plan. Board members will gain a greater understanding of the academic priorities, plans and programs that will be implemented moving forward, ensuring that all One City Scholars are achieving to their fullest potential. 

 
VI. One City Schools Department Reports 5:30 PM

Written reports are shared with board members. Board members should reach out to Department Heads, CEO or staff secretary to the board with any questions. 

 
VII. Closed Session of the One City Schools Board of Directors 5:30 PM
 

The Board will vote to move to closed session. The meeting will adjourn from closed session as no vote will be taken during this part of the meeting.

The Board will vote to move to closed session, according to WI open meeting law, "A meeting may be convened in closed session under one or more of the exemptions provided in s. 19.85: (f) Considering financial, medical, social or personal histories or disciplinary data of specific persons, preliminary consideration of specific personnel problems or the investigation of charges against specific persons except where par. (b) applies which, if discussed in public, would be likely to have a substantial adverse effect upon the reputation of any person referred to in such histories or data, or involved in such problems or investigations. 

 

The Board will discuss financial data, and may consider some specific personnel and contract concerns.
