K. Caire will present the names and provide information on two potential candidates for the One City Board: Lisa Berry and Shirley Johnson. 

 

Lisa Berry
Lisa Berry is head of school at Woodland Montessori and the first Black head of school in its 50-plus-year history. Since joining Woodland in 2012, she has served as a lead teacher, diversity specialist, and interim head of school, and she founded the school’s Diversity and Equity Committee.

 

Shirley Johnson
Shirley Johnson is the parent of children currently attending One City Schools, as well as a 10th grader, a former One City student, now attending Edgewood High School. Ms. Johnson is an active member of the Parent Council and a tireless advocate for One City scholars.
