One City's mission is to seed a new model of public education that ensures children and teens are on track to succeed in a college or career preparatory program from birth through high school graduation.

The April Finance Committee meeting was not held; accordingly, the March financials will be presented for review and approval at the regular May Board meeting.

S. Haumersen will provide a brief Finance Department update.

Board members will hear department reports, receive an update on One City's advocacy and partnership efforts, and prepare for its annual Board Strategy and Leadership Summit (aka Board Retreat).

As we plan for the upcoming 2026 Board Strategy and Leadership Summit (aka Board Retreat), Board members will hear thorough reports from each department, including updates from One City executive leaders on the extraordinary work, progress, and partnerships the organization has achieved so far in the 2026-27 school year, as well as the problems we are working to solve, with opportunities to ask questions and prepare for the strategic goal-setting that will take place at the retreat.

K. Caire and C. Hampton will provide the board with an update on advocacy efforts and next steps. 

Board members will complete the 2026 Board of Directors Self-Assessment survey during this time, and discuss the agenda for the 2026 Annual One City Board Strategy and Leadership Summit (aka Retreat) that will take place on May 2, 2026.
