II. Introduction of Joe Parisi, Potential One City Schools Board Member 4:09 PM

Board members will be introduced to Joe Parisi, who has agreed to join the One City Schools Board of Directors.  Board members will vote to approve Mr. Parisi's addition to the One City Board.

 

Joe Parisi has agreed to join the One City Schools Inc. Board of Directors. Mr. Parisi brings extensive public service experience to the Board, having served as Dane County Executive from 2011 to 2024.

A lifelong Dane County resident and graduate of UW-Madison with a degree in sociology, Mr. Parisi has dedicated his career to public service and ensuring that everyone in Dane County has access to opportunity.

Prior to serving as County Executive, he represented Dane County in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 2005 to 2011 and served as Dane County Clerk from 1997 to 2005.

During his tenure as County Executive, Mr. Parisi championed early childhood education initiatives, including partnerships with United Way of Dane County to create programs for children from birth through four-year-old kindergarten, emphasizing that "schools cannot close the achievement gap alone."  He created the Dane County Office of Equity and Inclusion and developed innovative services including mental health teams in schools.

Mr. Parisi's commitment to education equity and community partnerships aligns closely with One City Schools' mission to transform educational outcomes for all children. 

 
III. Introduction of Christopher Daniels and Review and Approval of September 2025 Financials 4:19 PM

Board members will be introduced to Christopher Daniels, Senior Financial Manager of the Charter School Business Management group https://csbm.com/ who will be working with the One City team to support financial operations.

  • Wis. Stat. § 19.85(1)(e) for discussing strategy related to public business that would be likely to have an adverse competitive effect if conducted publicly (review of embargoed 2024-25 school year report card and enrollment/budget strategy).
  • Wis. Stat. § 19.85(1)(c) for considering employment, compensation, or performance evaluation data of a public employee (CEO contract review and evaluation).
