In-person Meeting Return: Governor Abbott’s March 2020 order temporarily suspending certain provisions of the Open Meetings Act due to the COVID-19 pandemic disaster expired August 31, 2021. Consequently, TCA+A Board Meetings will return to in-person meetings at Texas School of the Arts.

TeSA Recognition
Mrs. Compton recognized:
- Kalisee Ishmael Wozniak for winning the Neighborhood Play Contest Festival of the Kid Scene Selection
- 4th grader
- Her piece, The Chocolate Dragon, was selected from 353 monologues, scenes, and plays
B.
FWAFA Recognition and Performance
Dr. Jackson recognized:
- All FWAFA academic teachers for their work, especially their efforts to help students get ready for testing
She showed a video of Ms. Wiggin's third grade students participating in math activities involving multiplication.

Steven Jones made a motion to approve the minutes from TCA+A Special Session of the Board - Hold in Case of Urgent Action on 02-25-25.
Cheryl Bean seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

Steven Jones made a motion to approve the January 2025 statements.

Daniel Bates made a motion to approve the TeSA Teacher Incentive Allotment Expansion Application.

VIII. Governance
A.
Policy Amendments
Daniel Bates made a motion to amend the Prohibited Discrimination, Retaliation, and Harrassment Policy by deleting 'gender' from section 1, 2ai, and 2aii and to eliminate section 2aiii.
Cheryl Bean seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
IX. CEO Report

Updates
Dr. Perkins reported out:
- FWAFA's 2025 Charter Renewal Application was approved by TEA, granting it's charter for another 10 years
- Conservatory Enrollment as of today:
- 154 students in group lessons
- 30 students in private lessons
- estimated profit of $58K
- Summer Camp enrollment is currently at 56 students
- Admissions for 2025-2026 School Enrollment
- TeSA accepted 51 students and has 38 open spots
- Kindergarten - 22 open spots
- 2nd grade - 5 open spots
- 3rd grade - 2 open spots
- 4th grade - 6 open spots
- 5th grade - 3 open spots
- FWAFA accepted 89 students and has 23 open spots with 71 students on the waitlist
- 3rd grade - 13 open spots
- 4th grade - 10 open spots
- TeSA accepted 51 students and has 38 open spots
- Arts Fort Worth Annual Summit is March 29, 2025
- Dr. Perkins serving as a panelist
- In exchange, they are providing TCA+A with a vendor table where we will be advertising the schools, summer camps, and conservatories
- Shout out and thanks to Krista Langford for her hard work on Conservatories, Summer Camps, and 2025-2026 school Admissions
- 2025 Annual Campaign raised $25, 973.15
- thanks to Torie Skinner for her work on this annual event
- According to Texas Public Charter Schools Association, the North Texas area is one of the hardest areas to get donations/contributions
- SGT just returned from it's Great Smokies Tour to Arkadelphia, Memphis, Nashville, Pigeon Forge, and Atlanta
- thanks to Mr. Hill and all the staff who chaperoned the trip
- April and May are FULL of performances
- don't miss out on a chance to attend
