In-person Meeting Return: Governor Abbott’s March 2020 order temporarily suspending certain provisions of the Open Meetings Act due to the COVID-19 pandemic disaster expired August 31, 2021. Consequently, TCA+A Board Meetings will return to in-person meetings at Texas School of the Arts.

Leslie Scott made a motion to approve the minutes from TCA+A Special Session of the Board on 08-01-23.
Melissa Goodroe seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

Finance Statements
Melissa Goodroe made a motion to approve June 2023 Finance Statements.
Charles Reid seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

Action Item
Daniel Bates made a motion to suspend Article 3 Section 3 of the Bylaws for one (1) year and extend the directorship term of Melissa Goodroe for one (1) year to assist with strategic planning.
Cheryl Bean seconded the motion.

- 2023 Summer Camps
- Huge shout out to celebrate and thank both Gabi Galloway and her predecessor, Sheyna Ferraro for their work on TCA+A's 2023 summer camps
- Financially it was the most successful camp year ever
- Camps help promote our schools and are a great recruitment tool
- 2023-2024 Enrollment Information
- Day 1: FWAFA - 688 students and TeSA - 341 students
- Openings at FWAFA in 10, 11, 12 grades and at TeSA in K, 2-5 grades
- Strategic Planning
- October 6, 2023 planning session
- S&G will present in the morning and then there will be a work session in the afternoon
- Gala / Saturday, August 26, 2023
- Neon Moon theme
- FWAFA and TeSA student performers
- Currently raised $89K
- Tables are sold out but there are still general admission tickets available
- Thank you to Lauren Whitson and her team for creating another successful event to share the story of FWAFA, TeSA and TCA+A with our community
