In-person Meeting Return: Governor Abbott’s March 2020 order temporarily suspending certain provisions of the Open Meetings Act due to the COVID-19 pandemic disaster expired August 31, 2021. Consequently, TCA+A Board Meetings will return to in-person meetings at Texas School of the Arts.

Charles Reid made a motion to approve the minutes from TCA+A Special Session of the Board on 05-09-23.

VII. CEO Report
A.
Updates
Mr. Gravley reported out:
- Apologized to staff for the miscommunication regarding the delay in contracts and salary agreements
- Summer Camps are going fantastic - celebrate Gabi Galloway for efforts in running the camps
- added both a TBC camp and a Songbird Camp this summer
- If all the students who say they are showing up do show up for the 2023-2024 school year we will see significant growth in enrollment at both schools
- Celebration and huge credit goes to Stephanie Ballew and Anika Perkins for advocating and working through all the hurdles to get a School Zone placed in front of Texas School of the Arts; Mrs. Compton did a brilliant job presenting at the City's board meeting
- 2023 Gala - as of today we've raised over $40K in sponsorships; continued goal is to have as much participation from families, community, and board members; theme: Neon Moon
