In-person Meeting Return: Governor Abbott’s March 2020 order temporarily suspending certain provisions of the Open Meetings Act due to the COVID-19 pandemic disaster expired August 31, 2021. Consequently, TCA+A Board Meetings will return to in-person meetings at Texas School of the Arts.

Approve September 27, 2022 Minutes
Mary A. Zimmerman made a motion to approve the minutes from TCA+A Board Meeting on 09-27-22.
Leslie Scott seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

- Teacher Grant applications are out now, due 11/30

- Green Space Awning - assisting Dr Jackson with trying to find company
- Memorial Garden/play scape project still pending
- Kids Take Over the School fundraiser coming up in spring

Updates
- 2022-2023 Enrollment
- FWAFA - 650 students
- Met projections in every grade except 9th grade
- Will need to do budget amendment due to not meeting overall projected number of students
- TeSA - 334 students
- Budgeted right at the 334 number so in good shape
- FWAFA - 650 students
- 2023-2024 Auditions
- Word of mouth is our best tool for getting students to audition
- TeSA - targeting incoming Kindergarteners for 2023-2024
- Auditions will be all virtual
- FWAFA - targeting incoming 9th graders for 2023-2024
- Auditions will be all in-person
- Virtual Open House 12/1/22
- - 5:30pm is TeSA and 7pm is FWAFA (Facebook Live)
- Holiday Concerts and Shows
- Joy in the Journey is this weekend
- FWAFA Choir Concerts
- TeSA has two nights of holiday performances taking place in FWAFA theatre

Mary A. Zimmerman made a motion to approve Dan Bates as Chairman of the Board.
Charles Reid seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
Daniel Bates made a motion to approve Leslie Scott as Chairman Elect/Secretary.

The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
