- Mr. Riley explained that this framework is part of a package of policies the organization adopted several years ago through the Texas Charter School Association. As members of this association, we get annual policy updates. There were significant updates this year in regards to special education due to changes in the Every Student Succeeds Act. It replaced the prior administration's No Child Left Behind. With changes in laws, these policies are required to change. The policies are handed down from both a federal and state level and basically guide our procedures. We've worked with Region II to make the changes that were needed to align our procedures at both campuses, FWAFA and TeSA. The documents you received show the updates made to align with the legislative code.
