Call the Meeting to Order
T. Williams called a meeting of the Governance Committee of The GLOBE Academy to order on Thursday Feb 16, 2023 at 10:05 AM.

Approve Minutes
T. Williams made a motion to approve the minutes from Governance Committee Meeting on 01-12-23.
L. Wheeler seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED to approve the motion.

Board Recruitment
Reviewed new board application form that will live on the school website and be used to solicit interested candidates. Reviewed suggested recruitment pipeline from initial contact to the interview process.

Next Steps
- Bring proposals to February Board meeting
- Identify prospects for any open Board roles
- Create template of playbooks for each committee that each Board Chair will be responsible for completing by June 2023

Interested in adding three new Board members by June 2023 (strategic, development, one at large member). Discussed the rationale behind removing the 6 month requirement to serve on a committee before becoming a chair. Discussed the job description for new board members that will be posted on Linkedin/indeed.com.
