Vision, Mission and Core Values
Vision: To develop globally minded citizens who have the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to effect positive change in our world.
Mission: The GLOBE Academy fosters Global Learning Opportunities through Balanced Education for children of all backgrounds. With a focus on dual-language immersion, an experiential-learning model, and a constructivist approach, GLOBE inspires students to be high- performing lifelong learners equipped to make a positive impact in the world.
Core Values: The GLOBE Academy’s core values are expressed in the acronym, CREST: Community, Respect, Empathy, Sustainability and Trust. These values are expected of the governing board, faculty, staff, parents, and students. They are woven into daily life at GLOBE and incorporated into the curriculum.

Brainstorming session around how we organize ourselves to support the goals of the new 5 year strategic plan as a larger committee and via the work of task forces or subcommittees.

 

The 4 areas of the Strategic Plan that we will focus on as a committee are:

 

- Student Success 

- Leadership, Recruitment & Professional Development

- Communication & Engagement

- Data-driven Insights & Decision-making 

 

Student Success is an area that we will own as a committee in full.

 

Subcommittees or tasks forces around:

- Leadership, Recruitment & Professional Development

- Communication & Engagement

- Data-driven Insights & Decision-making 

 

To determine as a committee:

  • Who heads up each task force (who is the lead)
  • Goals of that task force, per the year 1 goals in the Strategic Plan 

 

To determine as a task force:

  • Members of the task force
  • A plan with activities and milestones / intermediary goals toward the end of year goals

 

At following Academic Committee meetings we will hear back from task forces about progress toward their goals.
