Summer recovery is all the more imperative given the multi-layered impact of the covid-19 pandemic. Additionally, the Alabama Literacy Act requires all public schools to conduct a summer reading camp for those scholars with unfinished learning and/or deficiencies. Our team has identified 100 scholars who require and/or will benefit from the instructional intervention. We have 100% funding to cover the $49,760 expense:

$10,000 from the State Department of Education

$25,000 from Medical Properties Trust (earmarked for summer school)

$14,760 from ESSER Funding (priority #1 high quality Instruction for unfinished learning (summer school, after school, tutoring))
