Approve Minutes

J. Mendez made a motion to approve the minutes from MOJAVE RIVER ACADEMY SCHOOLS REGULAR BOARD MEETING - September 17 2026 on 09-17-26.
G. Rivera seconded the motion.
The board VOTED to approve the motion.

II. Action Items - Mojave River Academy Schools

A.

Approval of Additional 2026–2027 MRA Authorized Official Transcript Signer

J. Mendez made a motion to approve of an additional 2026-2027 MRA Authorized Official Transcript Signer.
G. Rivera seconded the motion.

The Board congratulated Amanda Cordova on her new postion as Registar. 

The board VOTED to approve the motion.

B.

Adoption of Board Policy: Student Suicide Prevention, Intervention, and Postvention (TK–12)

J. Mendez made a motion to approve the adoption of board policy: Student Suicide Prevention, Intervention, and Postvention (TK-12).
G. Rivera seconded the motion.

Gilberto Rivera asked Scott Huffman for an update on this item. 

The board VOTED to approve the motion.

Approval of Instructure Canvas Next LMS and Mastery Connect Subscription and Implementation Services

J. Mendez made a motion to approve of Instructure Canvas Next LMS and Mastery Connect Subscription and Implementation Services.
G. Rivera seconded the motion.
The board VOTED to approve the motion.

Future Business

The next board meeting of the Mojave River Academy Schools Board of Directors will be held November 12 2026 at 8:00am at Mojave River Academy, 13911 Park Ave. Suite 108, Victorville, CA 92392.

J. Mendez made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
G. Rivera seconded the motion.
The board VOTED to approve the motion.
There being no further business to be transacted, and upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, the meeting was adjourned at 8:55 AM.
