Courtyard Project Update

Michelle shared the newest renderings from the architect.  Brian shared with the committee a bit about the work of a student, faculty, donor, and development task.  Overall, the group helped us gather an understanding of the multiple potential uses for the space and the overall need for flexibility in our planning.  This was a very important part of the process for feedback and final design development. The group asked questions about the need to determine occupancy for the space.  There were concerns about moveable furniture and any potential damage to the concrete.  Brian mentioned that a horizontal hung white board near room 22 was requested by teachers.  Michelle noted that the architect believes the project is able to be completed in the summer timeline. The committee suggested researching some sort of donor acknowledgement.

C.

Review Goals

The committee aligned on the basic idea of these goals:

Continue with courtyard project with a focus on inclusivity and full accessibility toward bidding and securing a contractor for a summer 2027 project.
