Call the Meeting to Order
P. Gordon called a meeting of the Enrollment Committee of F.W. Parker Charter Essential School to order on Thursday Jan 15, 2026 at 2:03 PM.

Approve Minutes
H. Pierpont made a motion to approve the minutes from Enrollment Committee on 12-08-25.
B. Harrigan seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

II. Enrollment
A.
Review current enrollment numbers and activites
- Enrollment Update Jan 26.pptx
- Currently 390 students with 5 students anticipated to join for 2nd semester bringing enrollment to 395. Midyear gateways make room for these 5 new 7th graders in Div 1 classes.
- Applications for lottery are on pace with number of applications last year.
- Questioned whether some demographics are more likely to accept and then decline or withdraw. How can we support these families? Discussed increasing March offers to offset the accept then decline before starting. There were 8 students that accepted last March then declined or didn't show up.
- Need to update list of parent contacts to be available for questions after lottery.
- Upcoming activities: 5 info sessions, info session at BGCFL, Spanish info session, basketball clinic, shadow days, ice cream social, summer orientation sessions.

Review future enrollment projections and activities
- Mentioned right-sizing and focusing efforts. Maximize relationship with BGCFL.
- Need to schedule next ambassador meeting. Will ask for help with final push in mid-February and need to schedule current parents to attend coffee/Q&A sessions.
- How do we address desire to attract diverse students? Bex presented yesterday about equity work. How do we attract diverse teachers? Merrimack College has social justice program. Can we make a connection there?
- Next meeting will be 3/3 at 3 pm. Share updated chart with application numbers.
