Notice is hereby given that Lake Oconee Academy will hold its regular public meeting on Tuesday, October 13th, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Greene County Board of Education room in the CBJ Educational Complex, 101 East Third Street, Greensboro, GA 30642.
Meetings are open to the public, and all interested parties are invited to attend.

Applications
We have 1162 students currently and are continuing to extend offers to new students as space in classrooms arises. The FTE count to determine funding is coming up next week.

Discussion-Consideration of reinstituting weekly/bi-weekly BOG update calls
Dr. Bowling will make calls to Board Members two weeks after regularly scheduled meetings to ensure everyone remains informed of important information timely.

Agenda for Joint Board Meeting this Afternoon w/ GCSS
Dr. Bowling reviewed the Agenda for the afternoon joint meeting with the Greene County Board of Education.
Financials were reviewed and variances of a larger than usual power bill (which has been addressed by a meeting with Georgia Power) and usual fluctuation due to employees out for maternity leave and FMLA were discussed. A one-time employee bonus including an additional amount for managing an extra curricular activity (up to two activities) was presented by Dr. Bowling.
