Call the Meeting to Order

T. Rude called a meeting of the board of directors of Paramount Schools of Excellence to order on Tuesday Apr 21, 2026 at 5:33 PM.

III. Consent Agenda Review and Approval

A.

Review and Approve March Minutes & Vouchers

T. Rude made a motion to approve the minutes from Paramount Board of Directors Public Meeting on 03-10-26.
M. Bishop seconded the motion.
The board VOTED to approve the motion.

IV. New Business

A.

AI Policy Plan Updates

Jody Britten provided an update on her work with Paramount to leverage AI to maximize workflows and opportunities across our network, improving efficiency and establishing policy for the safe use of AI.

B.

Vote on South Bend Elementary Approval (K-5) and Grade Reconfiguration to Middle School (6-8th)

M. Bishop made a motion to approve the K-5 grade reconfiguration for Paramount South Bend Elementary and the 6th-8th grade reconfiguration for Paramount South Bend Middle School.
J. Hazzard, Jr. seconded the motion.
The board VOTED to approve the motion.

C.

Vote to Move Paramount Online Academy and Girls IN STEM Academy to Indiana Charter School Board

T. Rude made a motion to approve Indiana Charter School Board as the new authorizers for Paramount Online Academy and Girls IN STEM Academy.
M. Bishop seconded the motion.
The board VOTED to approve the motion.

Vote on 26-27 Board Calendar

A. Bekele made a motion to approve the 26-27 board calendar as distributed in Board on Track.
E. Mendez seconded the motion.
The board VOTED to approve the motion.

E.

Vote on Seclusion and Restraint Policy

J. Hazzard, Jr. made a motion to approve the seclusion and restraint policy as distributed in Board on Track.
M. Bishop seconded the motion.
The board VOTED to approve the motion.

F.

Vote to Approve AJB Audit

T. Rude made a motion to approve the Andrew J. Brown Academy audit.
B. Eldridge seconded the motion.
The board VOTED to approve the motion.

A.

Navigation Operations Report

Tommy Reddicks provided the board with updates on school construction projects.

School Operations Report

No schools presented for this board meeting.
