The Board recessed into Executive Session at 6:58 p.m. for the following:
Under the provisions of ORS 192.660, Open Meeting Law, the Board of Directors will enter executive session for the following purpose:
To conduct deliberations with persons designated to carry on labor negotiations. (ORS 192.660(2)(d))
Specific information discussed in executive session shall not be made public and shall remain undisclosed.
The Board recessed out of executive session back to regular session at 7:31 p.m.

David Williams from Piper Sandler shared with the board information about the local option levy process.
Dr. Kubista talked about how funds raised through a local option levy could be spent: Staffing, curriculum, maintenance, contingency. Mr. Williams said that funds raised through a levy are highly flexible, noting that almost every school district that has a levy in place uses it primarily for teaching and classified staff.
