I. Opening Items
A.
Call the Meeting to Order
R. Patterson called a meeting of the board of directors of KTEC Governance Board to order on Saturday Jan 31, 2026 at 10:00 AM.
B.
Record Attendance and Approve Minutes
P. Schofield made a motion to approve the minutes from Governance Board Meeting on 01-16-25.
P. Black seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
II. Updates on Kenosha Community Fund
A.
All money has been transferred to Gateway Technical College for a scholarship fund that will support KTEC students attending Gateway.
III. Updates on Trademark
A.
Both trademarks have been successfully transferred to the new school.
Appropriate paperwork was submitted to the trademark office to transfer ownership of two trademarks (one the acronym KTEC, the other a logo) to KENOSHA SCHOOLS OF TECHNOLOGY ENHANCED CURRICULUM INC., BOARD OF DIRECTORS (CORPORATION). The trademark office completed that transfer on August 21, 2025.
IV. Vote to Dissolve
A.
Vote to Dissolve Governance Board
R. Patterson made a motion to Dissolve the KTEC Governance Board.
S. Brown seconded the motion.
The board VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
V. Closing Items
A.
Adjourn Meeting
There being no further business to be transacted, and upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, the meeting was adjourned at 10:08 AM.
