I attended WSST for 4 years. One thing I enjoyed about my time at WSST was the strong sense of community that ran through the campus. The close bonds among students, where everyone knew everyone, made it relatively easy to form friendships. Additionally, I really enjoyed the dedicated staff and their mission of fostering student success.
I will attend Barrett The Honors College at ASU due to its excellent programs and opportunities aligned with my intended major. I chose to apply to Barrett to challenge myself in terms of academic rigor and build stronger connections. ASU also provided me with the ideal combination of on-campus college experience while remaining close to home.
I plan to pursue a degree in Industrial Design with a minor in Marketing. My interest and experience in graphic design, as demonstrated through my involvement in the yearbook at Western, has led me to explore a related yet distinct field to expand my skill set further. My two marketing classes influenced my decision to minor in marketing at WSST, which sparked my curiosity and showed me the strategies companies use to promote items & services.
This scholarship will greatly assist me as an art major by helping provide essential resources necessary for my success, including a laptop, art supplies, books, and various other materials.
