All are welcome at Living School Board Meetings.  Translation is available with 24 hours notice.

Public comment is welcome on any item on the agenda.  At the end of each agenda item, there will be a time for public comment.  Members of the public wishing to comment on any agenda item, may raise their hand at this designated time and be recognized by the Chair to speak for up to 2 minutes per person, per agenda item.  On any matter up for a vote, public comment must be heard prior to taking the Board's vote.

For members of the public wishing to address the Board for longer than 2 minutes on any given agenda item, please give the Chair at least 24 hours notice to be added to the agenda.  We will strive to accommodate longer items but cannot guarantee room on a given meeting's agenda.

M. Lehnherr called a meeting of the Academics & Culture Committee Committee of Living School to order on Tuesday Jan 19, 2021 at 6:39 PM.

Approve Prior Meeting Minutes from 12/15/20 Academic, Culture & Evaluation Committee

P. Roussel made a motion to approve the minutes from Living School Academics & Culture Committee Meeting on 12-15-20.
D. Lister seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED to approve the motion.

Review Academic & Culture Data from CEO Report

  • Stefin shared information on the new STEM teacher
  • Updated Q1 data and Q2 data review for next meeting
  • Staff Development Rubric link to Retention, Promotion and Compensation framework
  • Q3 proposed schedule
  • Attendance discussion
    • Separate line with percentage of students who have made up attendance

C.

Class-by-class project & student work review

  • Review and discussion of proposed project & student work review --> at least 1x/quarter, mid-quarter. Continue teacher narrative of scope and sequence of project and any highlights or challenges for students
  • Discussion regarding in-process v. final projects and integration of standards

D.

Review S1/Q2 Data

  • Will review Q2 staff development rubric data, staff and family survey data at next meeting
