Call the Meeting to Order

A. Wright called a meeting of the Fundraising Committee of Lowcountry Montessori School to order on Wednesday Oct 1, 2025 at 4:18 PM.

Old Business

  • Cookbook
    • T. Brosnan shared that there are only 35 submissions. We will extend submission deadline to October 6. Identified ways to get the word out: walk car line, email to teachers, K. Godwin will post on main FB page. Artwork being submitted from Mary today.
  • Food truck Night
    • A. Chavarria shared that there are now 5 food trucks, may get up to 7. Discussed placement of trucks (either through back loop or front loop and portico area). Concerns were expressed about people seeing the food trucks on the back loop. Will need tables for the event. Each truck will donate a portion of proceeds to LMS. A. Wright will make a flier for the event.
  • Adult Prom Follow up
    • A. Chavarria is finding a DJ and will check with Holiday Inn about rental space. Aiming for a March event date. Will have more details at December meeting.
  • Drive in Night 
    • V. Romig will contact drive in to ask about November 6 date for drive-in night
  • Summer Camp
    • V. Romig shared a proposal for summer camp. Will review and finalize at next meeting.

II. New Business

A.

Future Fundraising Roles

  • Adult versus Student  basketball game
    • A. Chavarria will finalize details later; this is a spring event
  • High Tea event
    • T. Brosnan will finalize details later; this is a spring event
  • Consistent/regular sales fundraiser
    • discussed potentially seeing if culinary would sell treats or cookies on half day Fridays as a consistent fundraiser. Will need to follow up on this 
  • Family Holiday Photos
    • V. Romig has been setting up. K. Godwin has agreed to take photos; 1/2 of proceeds will go to high school and 1/2 will go to general fundraising. Date decided is December 6 from 11 am to 4 pm. Will offer a Santa and Mrs. Claus add-on option (volunteers have been secured)
  • Holiday Shop
    • V. Romig presented holiday shop items. Fundraising committee approved. Holiday shop will be held either December 1 or December 8; determine at next meeting.
