M. Bernard called a meeting of the board of trustees of Summit Academy Charter School to order on Tuesday Jan 31, 2023 at 6:15 PM.

Connie Hamilton was asked to present about the work of CEI in regards to the renewal and instruction.

Presentation of Potential Board Members
Alvin Young
- Brooklyn resident from Fort Green Housing Development
- Professional basketball player for 18 years
- Investment Banker on wall street, now with Citi Group
- Passion for working with young people and being part of making the difference in the lives of young people.
- Aspires to bring the benefits that he got as a basketball player to the scholars of Summit
- Works as an assistant basketball coach at Summit Academy for a number of years. Has been able to garner the relationships to direct young people.

Adjourn Meeting
A. Murray made a motion to close the meeting.
V. Connelly seconded the motion.
The board VOTED to approve the motion.
There being no further business to be transacted, and upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, the meeting was adjourned at 6:26 PM.

We do not have enough board members to conduct business, we will need to double up in February for our meetings. The date is date is February 28th. We will have two meetings on that date.
