Overview of Out of School Time Activities
Summer learning program will be the month of June, Monday - Thursday. We will have a better sense of the summer program at the next meeting.
After school tutorial - grades 3 - 8 now and next year will include grades K - 2 cohort.
Saturday discipline for PYP and may be extended to grades 3 - 5, as well. Winter MAP scores will be analyzed with emphasis on students receiving tutorial services.
School Improvement Plan Team reviewed Winter MAP results. Resources noted for literacy improvement were identified. Schedule changes in PYP to identify more/discrete time for phonics.
MAP gap with the district for PYP were identified. Mathematics language is inconsistent making scaffolding more difficult. Real world problems will be used more frequently in the classroom - teachers are being trained in conceptual understanding and will redeliver to all teachers.
Teacher placement will be reconsidered to ensure that experienced teachers are on each grade level.
