O. Okwara called a meeting of the Development Committee of Wesley International Academy to order on Thursday Nov 17, 2022 at 8:34 AM.

Approve Minutes
O. Okwara made a motion to approve the minutes from Obi.
J. Marshall seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED to approve the motion.

Fundraising Update and Strategy

Events
Discussed Movember event happening at Wesley
Saturday, December 3 from 9 am until 12 pm
- $2,000 goal per team - this includes a board team;
- personalized fundraising pages can be created or they can direct donors to a team-wide page

Annual Board Pledge Forms
Discussed the updated board of directors pledge form; committee agreed to use the form; Obi will be presenting the form at the December 2022 board meeting
D.
Matching Gift for 2022/2023
Wesley will not be receiving the $20,000 matching gift in 2022
E.
Grants
- The City of Atlanta Youth grant will be submitted in January with a request to support the addition of Playworks programming during recess
- Opportunity to apply for the Laura Bush Foundation grant to support the diversification of library books
