Public comments are encouraged and must remain in accordance with WIA policies and procedures.  The board allows any stakeholder an open forum to state their comments during any regularly scheduled or special meeting of the Board of Directors.
 
• Public comments are limited to 2 minutes per person.
 
• This is not a question and answer session, but rather an opportunity for stakeholders to share their thoughts and opinions in a respectful manner.
 
• Those wishing to comment  should sign up in advance of the meeting via the chat feature within the Zoom meeting. Please list your name and nature of comment. Do not make comment in the chat feature.

Executive Committee met on January 15th to review intent to returns and board member performance to ensure alignment with the bylaws. Made recommendation to Governance Committee to recruit 3 new board members for next year.

 

No specific action items were taken other than those stated above and no items were voted on.

Reminder that February committee meetings are shifted to the second week due to Winter Break.

We have exceeded our fundraising goal for the year and are on track to exceed our stretch goal of $75,000.
    1. Actual (7/1/20 through 01/24/21) = $58,316.55 (includes in-kind donations)
    2. Estimated Additional = $18,679.46 ($2,130 in monthly recurring gift pledges + $8,029.46 via redefinED grant)
    3. Estimated Year End Total = $76,996.01
We are still looking for business sponsors of Wesley. So please reach out to Laura (laura.compton@wesleyacademy.org) if you know of any businesses who would like to support us.
We are starting our development strategic plan this month and discussing a spring fundraising and/or school-wide event.
