D. Paige called a meeting of the Governance Committee of Excelsior Village Academies to order on Thursday Dec 4, 2025 at 6:28 PM.

A.
Policy Review
- The following policies were reviewed and discussed:
- Students Rights Policy
- PQ Policy
- Health/Wellness Policy
- EL Policies and Procedures
- The following policies were tabled until rest of board can review for financial expertise:
- Emergency Situations Purchasing Policy
- Time and Effort Policy
- Cash Management Policy
- Capital Procurement

Board Recruitment
- Committee members want to create a space where policies can be pulled by everyone and are easily accessible
- Dr. Paige discussed the staggered terms of board members
- Will need to recruit to address the gaps in board skills

Board Training
SCSC Board training is February 10-11th

Parent Survey
There has been a parent survey developed and contents were discussed.
