Approve Minutes for April
Evan Przyborowski made a motion to approve the minutes from Education Committee Meeting on 04-07-25.
Gregory Theos seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED to approve the motion.

- Multiple choice
- More optimistic about AMSA’s direction
- School climate is much lower than last year
- Very common this year about a lack of motivation
- “Don’t like what is being taught”
- “Personally see a lot less willingness to be excited. Learning for the sake of learning. Percentage of “just getting through it”
- College is expensive, professors don’t teach….what’s the point in working towards that?
- Students are submitting work that is generated due to taking shortcuts.
- AI is being used to save time for projects.
- Homework and policies have a huge difference between districts
- Some towns allow it, others don’t
- New program to look at students from 7th - 8th grade that are failing courses to build them up (F, D, C-?)
- Open Response Surveys:
- See attached agenda item for specicics regarding Mike’s summary from a veteran teacher
- Teachers frustrated amongst each other for lack of enforcement of school rules.
- Teachers behavior does not send the right messages to students
- Better administrative structures would help with making rules clear and how things need to be run
- A lot of “scar tissue” from prior admins on how things were handled in the past.
