Call the Meeting to Order
J. Lampton called a meeting of the Governance Committee of Voices for International Business and Education to order on Thursday Feb 11, 2021 at 7:06 PM.

Approve Minutes from the November 2, 2020 Governance Committee Meeting
J. Lampton made a motion to approve the minutes from VIBE Governance Committee Meeting on 11-02-20.
M. Roney seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
II. Board Recruitment
A.
Prospective Board Member Desired Qualities/Traits
- Recruitment to VIBE was discussed.
- The Governance Committee members agreed that more Board Members are needed.
- Parent Board Member was spoken about.
- A member from the Governance Committee may attend the next Parent Committee.
- The committee spoke about recruiting a parent from IHSNO to be a member of VIBE.
- Members of the Governance Committee may start attending PTO meetings. Committee expressed the importance of being more involved in PTO meetings. Committee feels that it would be a great way to have more involvement in the community.
- PTO meetings take place on Tuesdays before the Main Board Meetings.
- The agenda for the Governance Meetings should be adjusted to give the Committee Member time to give an update about the PTO Meeting to the committee.
- The committee feels that parent recruitment to the board would have more success if VIBE had representation at IHSNO PTO meetings.
- Sometimes the best recommendations come from within for board member recruitment.

- The board member will use this board bank to discuss potential members.
