Dear Founding Board of Trustees,

 

April has been a great month for RISE!

 

Students: We held our school lottery for the 2025-2026 school year, and so far have 45 new families who have accepted their offers and begun the registration process. We will continue working to ensure we have two classrooms of Kindergarten as close to fully enrolled as possible.

 

Staff: We had two weeks of strong instruction before going on a much needed April break, and staff returned this week feeling energized and refreshed and ready to take on state testing over the next few weeks! We have also been in recruiting season and bringing in candidates for positions for next school year.

 

Families: Families have really been enjoying our K-4 enrichment showcases! We also are preparing for our EOY Family Picnic as well as 5th Grade Graduation which will be our final family events of the year. New families attended our RISE Accepted Students Day and are excited to be part of the RISE Family!

The gas station demolition is underway (finished?)! I am presenting to Community Board 7 next Wednesday to provide updates on the construction/building plans. I will meet with Scott next month to try and finalize the best day for a ground breaking ceremony in late June.
