The DC Public Charter School Board invites all Public Charter School Trustees to participate in an upcoming optional training as part of our Trustee Governance Training Series. The training will take place virtually on February 11, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. and will focus on Academic Oversight and Accountability. DC PCSB staff and school board trustees will lead presentations and share resources related to setting academic goals, reviewing relevant data, monitoring progress, and aligning oversight to charter goals / the ASPIRE framework. Please register here to participate.

You must have a zoom account to register. If you get an error message, it is likely that you are not a registered zoom user or that the zoom address you are entering on the registration form is not matching the one on your zoom account. If you don’t have a zoom account, you can register a free one here. Otherwise, double check that the email addresses match and it should work.

Last year, the DC Council passed the Board of Trustees Amendment Act of 2025, which requires DC PCSB to provide free governance training to all Public Charter School Trustees starting in the 2026–27 school year. These optional trainings will help individuals prepare for this requirement. Attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback to help refine the trainings ahead of next year’s official launch.

The DC Public Charter School Board also invites all Public Charter School Trustees to participate in a virtual feedback session as part of our website update. To enhance transparency, usability, and information accessibility, the website development team, working with the DC PCSB Communications/External Affairs team, is gathering feedback from relevant parties.

We’d like to learn how you use the website, what information you rely on, and whether it supports your needs. If interested in participating, please join us for a virtual feedback session that will be held on January 20 from 3:50-4:20 pm. Your input will help guide final improvements before launch. You can join the session by clicking here. For questions, please contact DC PCSB Director of Communications, Racine Tucker-Hamilton at rhamilton@dcpcsb.org
