Schools are spending money according to the budgets. Revenue is coming in as planned except newly approved Tax Increase funding that is estimated to be around $800 per child. In conversation with the district, it seems that the funds might start coming in in Jan-Feb, because district has not received the funds yet from the city. As a result, Intercoastal needed another infusion of $50,000 from K-8 on Nov 29th to pay teacher salaries. On the good side, Intercoastal received its first Capital Outlay Payment on Dec 4. We expect it to take 2-3 months for it to receive first Sales Surtax Payment.

Paychex Time and Attendance module was under one contract under GOCA K-8 with separate "sites", which created some difficulties in managing employee's time cards. The solution is to separate each school into individual TAA account. The cost will remain the same and for the first year will be even lower.

There is a list of pre-approved expenses that don't require regular invoice approval process. Given that the list of pre-approved expenses changes more often than Financial Control Policy, it's recommended to separate this list of pre-approved expenses from Financial Control Policy itself so it can be updated independently. The list will be referenced in Financial Control Policy and will be approved by the board. Arnold Law firm prepared the updated Financial Control Policy.

Recommendation to apply for a Clean School Bus Rebate Program to cover the costs of buying an electric school bus and relevant infrastructure

Approval to run the first lottery dates and permission to adjust the future lottery dates as schools see fit.
