II. Student Outcomes Committee Business

A.

Adopt the agenda

V. Almendarez made a motion to adopt the agenda.
N. Gangopadhyay seconded the motion.
The committee VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

Approve minutes from previous meeting

V. Almendarez made a motion to approve the minutes from Student Outcomes Committee Meeting on 04-29-24.

End of Year Data

chronic absenteeism

  • three sites beat 16% chronic absenteeism target, all sites improved over prior year
  • attendance staffing in place for next year

early literacy (K-2)

  • K exceeded internal targets, 1st-2nd progressed
  • reviewing phonics materials for next year
  • screeners do not allow for accommodations

aReading (3-8)

  • completed during SBAC window
  • upper grades generally more proficient
  • new curriculum rolling out next year

aMath (3-8)

  • growth since prior year
  • ASCEND takes NWEA MAP instead

NWEA MAP

  • ASCEND takes Math in 3-8
  • Latitude takes Math and Reading across grades

culture

  • four sites beat suspension target, suspensions predominantly from physical threats
  • high SCAI survey completion among students
