Notices will also be posted in the main office of CASA Academy (8047 N 35th Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85051) which is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.

M. Campillo called a meeting of the Governance Committee of CASA ACADEMY to order on Tuesday Feb 15, 2022 at 12:14 PM.

M. Tucker made a motion to approve the minutes from June 1, 2021 Governance Committee on 06-01-21.

There being no further business to be transacted, and upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, the meeting was adjourned at 1:00 PM.

Board Chair Mark Tucker opened a discussion on a plan for training new members. Committee members discussed ways of making training useful and relevant to the Board's goals and requirements. The committed agreed that the plan for training board members should include understanding academic metrics and challenges, open meeting law, and financial training to better understand the funding sources for charter schools.
