The Center is requesting that the Academy Board review and confirm the accuracy of the grade range (kindergarten through eighth) and the maximum enrollment number (425) which is currently included in Schedules 7f and 7h of the Contract.

As a charter public school, it is critical that any facility that is used by the Academy maintains the appropriate separate of church and state. The Center requires the completion of this questionnaire for any facility that (1) is affiliated with and/or owned by a religious organization; or (2) was
previously used by a religious entity.

  
  G. Proposed 2024-2025 School Calendar Discuss Cristina Stamatin 5 m
   

The Academy Board is required to submit a proposed 2024-2025 School Calendar that
complies with the Revised School Code and the minimum requirements set forth in the State School Aid Act
of 1979. These requirements include the required number of instructional days and hours. The calendar must
also show the first and last days of the academic year, and the starting and ending times of a typical school day.

  
  H. CMU Escuela Avancemos Academy Parent Complaint Letter FYI Ana Ulloa 10 m
   

The Center received a complaint on March 19, 2024, regarding a situation that occurred at Escuela Avancemos.  As the governance body of the Academy, we trust that the Academy Board will duly attend to the referenced concerns. The Governor John Engler Center for Charter Schools will continue to monitor the situation and may require a Board response, if necessary.
