Call the Meeting to Order

R. Kirschman called a meeting of the board of directors of F.A.M.E., Inc. to order on Saturday Oct 15, 2022 at 9:01 AM.

Approve Minutes

B. Levine made a motion to approve the minutes from F.A.M.E. Board Meeting on 09-17-22.
L. Moran seconded the motion.
The board VOTED to approve the motion.

II. Financial Report

A.

Financial Report

Dr. Corbett discussed the August 2022 financials, key performance indicators, federal grants, cash forecast, and forecast history. There is 69 days of cash on hand and the financial audit is on way and is projected to be finished on time prior to December 31st.

III. Discussion Items

A.

Audubon Gentilly Comprehensive Renewal Process

Dr. Corbett reviewed the comprehensive renewal process by NOLAPS; Audubon Gentilly is under comprehensive review, which requires narrative submission, participation in public hearing, and parent, student, and staff input.

Future Program Considerations

Dr. Corbett discussed Pre-K programming at Audubon Schools and reviewed financial sustainability of these programs. Dr. Corbett made recommendation to remove Pre-K programming for future years to create greater financial sustainability. Board was in agreement during discussion and unanimously supported the decision. 

C.

Audubon Gentilly Greenspace Ownership

Dr. Corbett explains Greenspace dispute regarding land at Audubon Gentilly that is owned by New Orleans. He is meeting with Parks and Parkways to discuss compromise in order to maintain exclusive access during school hours. 

IV. CEO's Report

A.

Development Report

School celebrates world teacher's day and engaged in fundraiser that raised $615 from 9 donors. Giving Tuesday coming up on November 29th. We received ARPA grants for $137,000 for Uptown campuses and $196,000 for Gentilly. We received $10,000 from Louisiana's Disability Foundation of America and $35,000 from RosaMary for Adoption of Tier 1 Curriculum.

Parent Report

Darlene Mipro discussed the annual fundraiser Fun Fete and encouraged the board and others to support by participating in the fun games and activities.

CEO Remarks

Dr. Corbett thanked board for attendance and reminded them of future committee meetings.

Next F.A.M.E. Board Meeting

Next Board meeting will be held on December 19 at Gentilly.
