Call the Meeting to Order
B. Brockway called a meeting of the board of directors of State Charter Schools Commission of Georgia to order on Wednesday Jul 26, 2023 at 10:17 AM.
II. Approval of SCSC Meeting Minutes

June 28, 2023 Meeting Minutes
M. Dudgeon made a motion to approve the minutes from June Board Meeting on 06-28-23.
J. Cole seconded the motion.

VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.

July 21, 2023, Called Meeting Minutes
M. Dudgeon made a motion to approve the minutes from July Called Meeting on 07-21-23.
J. Cole seconded the motion.

VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
III. Action Items
A.
Adoption of Updated Comprehensive Performance Framework
M. Dudgeon made a motion to approved the SCSC staff recommendation that the SCSC Board of Commissioners approve the recommendation to amend the SCSC Comprehensive Performance Framework (CPF) with the updates as presented.
J. Cole seconded the motion.
Commissioner Dudgeon expressed his support for the CPF amendments.

VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
B.
Petition Decisions
M. Dudgeon made a motion to approve the SCSC staff recommendation that the SCSC Board of Commissioners approve the petition for Movement School Athens, authorizing the SCSC Chair to execute a charter contract for the operation of a state charter school for an initial term of five (5) years starting with the 2025-2026 school year.
J. Cole seconded the motion.
Representatives from Movement School Athens spoke in support of the recommendation.

VOTED unanimously to approve the motion.
J. Cole made a motion to approve the SCSC staff recommendation that the SCSC Board of Commissioners approve the petition for Excelsior Village Academies, authorizing the SCSC Chair to execute a charter contract for the operation of a state charter school for an initial term of five (5) years starting with the 2024-2025 school year.
M. Dudgeon seconded the motion.
Representatives from the Excelsior Village Academies spoke in support of the recommendation.

There being no further business to be transacted, and upon motion duly made, seconded and approved, the meeting was adjourned at 10:34 AM.

The roll call of commissioners was conducted at 10:05 am. Commissioners Brockway and Dudgeon were in attendance in person. Commissioners Lowden, Good, Milan, Scafidi, and Cole were absent.
No official business was conducted between 10:05 am and 10:17 am.
At 10:17 am, Commissioner Good and Cole joined the meeting remotely. A quorum was formed.
