For your approval is the Ellevation for Education contract for school year 2022-2023. During our charter renewal, we made significant revisions to the English Learner supports and services wherein we developed a plan for aligning to the California English Learner Framework for providing both integrated and designated supports for our English Learners. Most local districts and charters have adopted Elevation Learning for housing and analyzing EL data. The platform also provides strategies for targeted support and intervention for teachers to use for the English Learners in their classrooms. Bridges intends to use Elevation Learning to house all of our assessment data in order to track progress for all subgroups of students. Elevation will be entirely funded using LCFF dollars.

This salary schedule proposed for the 2022-2023 school year reflects a 3% on schedule increase. The salary schedule was discussed at length in budget committee meetings; Dr. Kelly and Ms. Cindy worked closely with Rudy Calasin to ensure that this increase is sustainable over time. The budget committee plans to revisit the possibility of approving an additional on schedule increase following the Governor's budget adoption.

The Literacy committee has identified two research based curriculums, Amplify and EL Education to pilot in grades 1-5 for the 2022-2023 school year. Teachers in grades 4-5 will be piloting the Amplify curriculum and teachers in grades 1-3 will be piloting EL Education. Feedback on the two curriculums will be discussed during literacy committee meetings and recommendations will be made for the 2023-2024 school year for full adoption.

NextGenMath, LLC subscription includes instructional video library, blended learning groups, individualized learning pathways and assignable procedural fluency with progress monitoring and alalytics. Bridges intends to use NextGenMath Curriculum and resources to support small group differentiation and skill building for students who need extra support. This curriculum will supplement the Illustrative Math Curriculum.

The CDE has established the Universal Prekindergarten (UPK) Planning and Implementation Grant. This grant requires Bridges Charter School to establish a plan for how all children in the attendance area of Bridges Charter School will have access to full-day learning programs the year before kindergarten that meet the needs of parents. In accordance with EDC 8281.5 Bridges Charter School is bringing our UPK plan to the board for consideration and as an information item.
This plan has been developed with input from families to determine enrollment interest as well as with teachers/parents at Bridges on a TK planning committee.
This plan articulated Bridges' plans to continue utilizing 2022-2023 as a planning year with full implementation of a TK program in SY 2023-2024 for students turning 5 between September 2nd and April 2nd. |

LEAs are required to address these state priorities, as well as any local priorities identified by the LEA, in the LCAP.The LCAP provides an opportunity for local educational agencies (LEAs) to share their stories of how, what, and why programs and services are selected to meet their local needs. The components of the LCAP for the 2022–2023 LCAP year must be posted as one document assembled in the following order:
Dr. Simon will share Bridges' LCAP that was designed with input from parents, teachers, staff, and reviewed during a public hearing with the Bridges Board of Directors.
